Description
A survival Flash game that I develop in my spare time.Movement: WASD or arrow keys
Fire: Left mouse button
Special abilities: Q (offensive) and E (utility). These require Mana, which regenerates over time.
Ideas, critique, and bug reports are appreciated.

0.21 (Jul 07, 2014)- Added three new characters (technician, sniper, rock star). Added ability ranks, which can be upgraded with skill points. Adjusted the size and color of various HUD elements. Added animations to all spiders. Optimized the game's performance in a number of ways. Added new achievements, which currently aren't functional.
0.20 (Jan 14, 2014)- Added the Fairy character, and made small balancing changes to most of the other characters. Added three new backgrounds (sand, water, and lava). Changed the rate at which bosses spawn; the first boss now spawns at 1:00, the second at 1:55, the third at 2:50, and so on.
0.19 (Dec 6, 2013)- Added three new characters and improved all existing character sprites. Added a boss enemy that spawns once every minute, on the minute. Added a bestiary section that shows the health, damage, and speed of each enemy. Adjusted the balance of the game in many different ways.
0.18 (Jul 17, 2013)- Added two new characters (plus a hidden character that can be unlocked with a secret code!). Improved the old character sprites, and added 8-way movement sprites to every character. Added stats and achievements, stored with a Flash cookie. Changed enemies into spiders, and adjusted how they move. Added a buggy co-op mode that will be improved over time. Added a second ability to every character. Added a menu button that lets you return to the home screen. Added numbers to the Health/Mana/Experience bar.
0.17 (Jan 5, 2013)- Improved the menu screen. Added unique attack animations to each character. Added Special Abilities, which use Mana and can be activated by pressing the space bar.
0.16- Added a basic tutorial, which can be accessed with the menu's "How to play" button. Adjusted the size of arrows and bullets. The Wizard now shoots a magical fireball instead of an arrow. Added a new Skill, called "Utility".
0.15- Added three characters and a Character Select screen. Added a quality button. The restart button will now take you back to the main menu.
0.14- Added a new main menu screen.
0.13- Added background music ("Causeway"), courtesy of NoSoapRadio (www.nosoapradio.us/) . Added a mute button. Added a clock that shows how long you have survived.
0.12- Added a pause button. Fixed several bugs.
0.11- Added a brick wall to the right side of the screen. Added a speed pickup that increases your speed for 10 seconds. Added a turret that can be bought with coins. Added a "custom" difficulty where you can define your own variables. Separated the store into two sections. Adjusted enemy speed so that games will last slightly longer. You can now hold down the mouse button to continuously fire bullets.
0.10- You can now fire multiple bullets.
0.09- Killing enemies now gives you experience. When your experience bar fills up, you get a point to spend in the store.
0.08- Redesigned the HUD. Added a snow background.
0.07- Fixed issue where enemies would stop spawning. Game Over screen now shows how long you lasted.
0.06- You can now see your cash in the store.
0.05- You now start with 10 cash. Enemies and coins will no longer spawn within 100 pixels of the character. Added a new upgrade, called "Investment".
0.04- Added blue enemies (twice as much health, lower spawn rate). Enabled the Damage 2 upgrade.
0.03- Made it easier to see which store upgrades you've already bought.
0.02- Added difficulties. Difficulties affect enemy speed, enemy spawn rate, and coin spawn rate.
0.01- Initial release.

srry for late reply, was away for three days... the game is good, mechanics are easy to understand... but the game is a little slow paced, srry to say. or is it just me?

The 4 saws are WAY overpowered, and getting experience points takes WAY too long after the first few levels. Good game, but needs some balancing, which can be tough.

I like it.
I think you have created a good store system that functions well.
Even though I know its not finished, I have two suggestions:
Maybe have a visual representation of both enemy health (even something simple like a square inside them with a color tween, and a way to let the player know that they can't move all the way to the right (got me the first time )
I unfortunately got an error "The supplied DisplayObject must be a child of the caller." at line 951 in GameScript.as

Do you have any idea what triggered the error? I haven't been able to recreate it.
As for the right side of the screen, I'll put some kind of visible wall or border there. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm not sure what caused it but the easiest way to prevent it is adding an if statement:
if( theParent.contains(theChild)) {theParent.removeChild(theChild);}

Oh yeah, I'll definitely add in harder enemies, and there will be bosses eventually.
