Description Go on pour me a drink.
Make it a smoky, citrus blend.
Don’t care if it’s whisky or wine.
Don’t care what, just when.

Just give me a chair and a glass.
No need for your fancy mixing tools.
I want to taste the liquor and not the oak.
If I wanted the oak I’d just chew on the stool.

Pour it to the top, with just a bit of ice.
Make it burn my lips and tickle my spine.
Let it rot my brain from the inside out,
And make the colors in my eyes align.

I want her to taste it when she kisses me,
And ask if that's the liquor or my cologne,
But she's not here beside me,
And that’s why I always drink alone.

I loved this, a nice mixture of slight bitterness and humour, and the steady simple rhyme scheme works very well here too.

Thank you. I tend to have a rather dark and silly sense of humour, but it stays out of my poetry most of the time. I'm glad it turned out well ^_^

Haha and I haven't used a rhyme scheme in a long time. Glad that turned out okay too.
