This is what I pictured Lapis and Peridot would look like once they reformed in Change Your Mind.It goes without saying
that my designs are far better. I wanted Peridot to look like a badass futuristic sentai warrior. In canon, she looks like a bad cosplay of a futuristic sentai warrior, with ugly yellow boots.
I wanted Lapis to look like a badass water bending jutsu ninja. In canon, she looks like a yoga instructor
's assistant.
Anyway, I'm getting better with drawing digitally. It's a slow process, but I'm getting there.
I'm not cutting traditional art by any means though, heck no.

Gotta admit, I wasn't a fan of the star hair theory for Peridot
But you made it work really well
I can honestly say I prefer your Peri to the canon redesign. She definitely looks badass.

I'm sorry for nitpicking on these awesome designs but for some reason I think Peridot's belly star should be removed and Lapis should have stars on the glove (like Peridot) but they're not filled in.

I gave Peridot so many stars because, if you remember, she seemed very indecisive on where she'd put hers when she first became a crystal gem. So she put them everywhere. I gave Lapis so few because, despite her alignment with them, she doesn't really consider herself a bona fide crystal gem. She's more of a free agent who hangs around them.

Funny enough it's just one star on Peridot that I dislike for some reason. That reason, whatever it is, is probably silly in hindsight.

I think I see what you mean. The belly star kinda sticks out on the black area, while the other stars blend in naturally on the green areas. I get it.
