This is..... stunning. This already was the best scene in the movie - not only because of.... u know what xD - she was just an amazing actor altough you only saw her for like 2 minutes- But you made it even better, this pic is fcking Β awesome. May I use it as my desktop background?

This was my absolute favorite part.
She was fantastic. I feel pretty bad for her though, those Ephors are so nasty.
By the way, it would be wise to post a disclaimer on the picture.

She's pretty. My father and I might see this movie one day, and so I won't get mixed up or confused could you explain to me who the Oracle is, if it isn't any trouble?

It shouldn't be any trouble I guess. She is the oracle who decides whether the spartans should fight the persians or not. She "dances" in some sort of smoke or steam and the scene is really awesome. She weares a top, but it's transparent and you can clearly see the shape of her breasts and her nipples and sometimes her right one is clearly visible.... so you might wanna know this before you watch the movie with your father.. xD

Actually, by definition the oracle is named Pythi, commonly known as the Oracle of Delphi, and was the priestess at the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. The Pythia was widely credited for her prophecies inspired by Apollo.
Basically she was supposed to be the voice of Apollo. In the movie she resides with the Ephors (group of elders who make the rules and basically rule Sparta) and they consult her on matters that pertain to war and other prophecies.
Be warned, she is naked. Also, the Ephors are huge pervs. (Not to mention that they are quite grotesque looking)
It's a great movie and this is my absolute favorite scene.
