Second entry for the HTTYD Duo Contest.I don't expect at all being among the winners after seeing the amazing entries other artists have drawn, and me being still such low level in art myself, but I really wanted to use this contest to push myself into drawing a bit more! Specially after watching the movie recently, I really had a need to draw fanart of it. Mostly the villain, but he is a difficult subject for this contest.
So this is my second entry. Because I can't let go of this amazing story, I decided to draw the new generation after they meet for the first time.

I think your idea is way more individual than others, most only drew Toothless and the light fury together, which is quite uninspired. Yours is new!

Ahhh~ Thank you so much! I did see this pair in the entries though. While i was half done with the piece. Luckily for me, they drew ideas that I ditched in the last minute. If not, I would have drawn stuff that had already been presented.
But yes. I saw a lot of light fury and toothless. But a bunch of them are really impressive and pretty drawings.

But hiccup toothless repeats itself soo much and completely ignores other duos that i saw that looked super promising.
IT seems mostly skill won ^^U It always does. I need to be a better artist, but I won't draw like the winners, I am not a realistic painter afterall. I enjoy more drawing cartoons.

wonderful, the expressions are amazing. the little boy is a natural story teller and the lil dragon is very invested in the tale. The colors and the background makes everything pop just right.
