Just saw the Halo 4 cover art, and had to set it as my iPhone wallpaper.The original image was lacking in color (IMO) so I made some adjustments to my liking and thought I might as well upload it and share it with you guys/gals.

Its a cool photo edit, but it is very close to the original artwork that Microsoft has posted. I'd be careful of copyright issues.

You have no reason to upload this, as all you did was a linear burn onto it. Along with using the creative commons tool, still, to technically claim copyright holdings with the image. This is both illegal, and against the Deviantart rules.

His reason to upload this is so that the collective internet can weep with joy at the arrival of this magnificent wallpaper. It's beauty will resonate within all thoe who view it, and they shall know glory.
Also, learn to use commas before you start to hate on things. It makes you seems smarter.

As for the creative commons tool, I didn't use it, don't know why it's on there now that you mentioned it. I have all three options checked "no". =/

You didn't get rid of the copyright symbol, right next to "Customization/handhelds/backgrounds" it still says "©2012 ~PimplyPete." No matter what you do, when you upload to deviantart, it will place that © on it, because deviantart's ToS state that anything you upload you must have the rights to- because this is deviantart, not an image host, an ART host. There is no. way. to. upload. it. without. claiming. copyright. Which is why you agree to the ToS that say that you hold copyright. It's the way the site works, it's fundamentally wrong to upload anything you don't hold copyright to.
