Well, well...It has been some months now that I have not posted something on DA!
I was very busy, etc...
The good thing is that after a nice break, I regained some interest in customizing Linux, namely with Gaia09 (I may post a dark gaia version here soon...)
But I also discovered Akumin Linux !! A project led and designed by
I recommend you check this project and his page to have some insight about this ambitious project!
What you see in this shot was mainly designed by . I just adapted the mockups he gave me to create this GTK and Emerald theme you can see here (this is not a mock up, this is a genuine shot...)
It is not finished yet but I'm quite satisfied with what I managed to obtain so far. A metacity and another emerald theme are being created as well.
This shot features:
- Arch + Xfce4.6 + Terminal
- Thunar
- Sonata + NowPlaying Screenlet
- Orage
The NowPlaying theme was designed by FrozenTheaterD and made alive by myself.
The Icon set and the Wallpaper has been designed and created fully by FrozenTheaterD
GTK + Emerald designed by FrozenTheaterD and made alive by myself.

NB: I am not going to release this. This is just a show off and this has been done for Akumin Linux exclusively so far.
If I have permission this may be released independently later (with credit to FrozenTheaterD).

interesting. Everything is so big though, a slimmed down and minimal version would be great, but thats just me because I like minimal stuff.

As far as I know, FrozenTheaterD is currently realizing the website (and he has been delayed a bit), so, so far only a small google code page exists.
FrozenTheaterD remains the best person to inform you about the status of his progress, if you're interested.

Fair play. The user interface is stunning, certainly. Let's hope it's not just another Linux OS that looks pretty but has little else to offer.
