When demons die in battle, normally they just stay there and rot, unless if you're one of those guys that signed up for the "Second-Wind Program", in that case you get picked up and live like a champ, unlike those losers that died like chumps. Revenants are demons that have been cybernetically enhanced and pieced back together, in which after they will be sent back into the fight, these guys payed big time to get the best mods.

The Second-Wind Program derived from the Cyberdemon Program, this program specializes in modifying smaller scale demons, the kind of people who sign up for this program are either village idiots with lots of money, or upper class military men, it's mainly the village idiots unfortunately. The type of modification that goes on in this program mainly involves replacing missing body parts with robot parts, as well as adding on different weapons to the body, the limit of modification depends on how much cash you got, the more cash you have, the more mods you get.

Revenants are the maximum tier that you can get in the program, Revenants are equipped with shoulder-mounted Rocket Launchers that have been enchanted by Tech Mages, and their strength has also been enhanced via internal bionics, allowing for greater melee damage. There have been Revenant variants with Jetpacks and Hell Ray cannons, but these are more rarer as this requires one to visit certain places to get these mods.

There are two other tiers that can be received in the Second-Wind Program, there's the Ghouls, the Lower tier, and the Fiends, the Medium Tier.

This Revenant was some random Crackhead off the street, he was a Lanky Demon simply named, Bubba. Bubba signed up for the program because... Well, he doesn't remember why, so it was quite the shock when two giant Hell Knights picked him up off the street and forced him to go to war, in which his legs were blown off. He now suffers from serious brain damage after some shrapnel went through his cranium, but other than that he's OK.
