Sketched this a while ago when I first saw the movie but didn't finish it till now.. so I'm a bit late to the httyd-fanart party XDgeneric thing to do with your pet dragon.. use him as an umbrella!

If you read the book or watch the movie, Toothless loses his tail in an accident and Hiccup learns that dragons can't fly if their tails or wings are damaged. So he made the other half of his tail materialistically and gave it to Toothless so he can fly :33

The person who worked on this movie gave me a original sketch of toothless before he was on the big screen. They had done some minor changes when the final drawing was in the movie.
