Forsaken shadow priest... just a "speed painting," didn't bother with background or fixing messy parts.Painter, ~6 hours.

Speed painting?! Are you sure? It looks so good for a speed painting! I love the detailing on his robe and I think the background goes with this piece, don't really need anything too complex there.

Wow... It's creepy, mildly frightening and Dark. The roughness looks nice on him. And lack of Background draws the eye to the details. Very nice.

The hair, the face and the shoulderguards are all rather rough to my eye

hum, the eyes looks good, hair is pretty rough, I agree. And some blurring would do the trick for those shoulderguards

The problem with blurring is that too much of it actually makes it look worse - so I tend to combine blurring with adding more detail, and I really didn't want to end up spending 8+ hours on this adding detail so I just left it.
