Huh? Booth-what-now?!

Working on the 'Photographer' series produces an endless stream of visual material: posing tests, lighting tests, texture tests, you name it. Most of it is of little long term substance, but sometimes there's a small gem worthy of a bit of polish and being shown to the world.

And so the 'Photobooth' shall henceforth stand for everything that's not an actual 'photography', but is somehow connected to my work on the series and nice or interesting enough to be shared. A table for the occasional, small and tasty side dish, so to speak...

I know that nose!

This one's the final (for the moment) of many test renderings I made while working on Liara's eyes over the last couple of days. I couldn't resist a quick 'shopping' obviously, but I left her eyes as they came from the renderer.

On the technical side we have all new eye textures of much higher resolution (up to 1024² from the game's 256²), new multipiece eyeball models with true 3D irises and new, individually modeled eyelashes (that were a nightmare to weight properly for various reasons). There are also a few texture and model clean ups (nothing too noticable), mostly in preparation for additional detail work on her head and face and as you can see I'm experimenting with Liara's makeup for a 'photography' I'm thinking about...
