Description
requested byAphmau waited in the snow, frustrated. She couldn't believe she didn't wear warmer clothes. She looked at Thorgina, who was so deep in the snow that only her head was poking out. Aphmau got up to help her.
"Thorgina? Are you okay? You've been sitting there for the past five minutes," Aphmau laughed. "Do you need help? I mean I know you're short and everything but you should come sit by the campfire girl, I don't want you-" Aphmau leaned over to pick her up but Thorgina started growling at a bush she was intensely guarding. Aphmau slowly approached the bush, grabbing a stick for security.
"If someone's in there, come out now," she called out. "I swear you better not-" Before she could finish her sentence, someone knocked the feet out from under her. She hit the ground with a loud thump. She looked up at her attacker in panic. He pointed a spiked bat at her face ready to strike if she made a move. He had snow white hair and emerald eyes. He was bleeding from the collarbone area.
"What the!" Aphmau called out, to scared to move. "Who are you?"
"Nice try!" the stranger called out, flipping his hair out of his eyes. "But your disguise can't fool me! Even though this is the sexiest disguise you've had in a long time!" Aphmau stuttered,
"Get off of me me before I-"
"Before you what?" The man yelled in her face. "I'm not letting you get away this time! I've put up a barrier around this specific area! You are so stupid to have camped here for so long! What were trying to do? Lure innocent men with this... body so you can turn them into slaves? You disgust me!" Aphmau scrunched up her face in bewilderment.
"Wait. Wait. Wait. What?" she answered.
"Wow," sarcasm seeped from the man's voice. "You even managed to alter your voice too! This is a step up for you! Now taste my bat!" He raised the bat up, ready to strike.
"Wait! No! I swear, I'm not like the Demon Warlock... if that's what you're talking about," Aphmau pleaded. The man hesitated before leaning forward.
"I'm almost inclined to believe you," he stated. "Then tell me, what's your name and where are you from?"
"My name is Aphmau and I'm from a town called PhoenixDrop." Aphmau stuttered. The man glared at her.
"It's been a long time since the Demon Warlock has use a female attacker," he started. "It's oddly convenient though, since I mentioned women the last time I fought with the Demon Warlock."
"Look," Aphmau replied. "Let me prove to you I'm not with the Demon Warlock." Aphmau shifted upwards, but the man stood his ground.
"I can see that you're injured on your chest," Aphmau continued.
"Please," she pulled out a small bottle from her pocket. "Let me help you." She stood up and rubbed a small portion of the bottles contents on the man's chest. He stepped back in shock and looked down to see that the wound had stopped bleeding and was starting to mend itself. He jumped back in surprise.
"W-What?" he cried out. Aphmau tucked the bottle back into her pocket.
"Feeling better?" she asked. The man touched his chest.
"V-very," he replied. "T-thank you."
"You're very welcome," Aphmau responded. The man looked her over.
"What the heck was that? Who are you?" he inquired.
"My name is Aphmau," Aphmau started. She slipped out the bottle once more and showed it to him. "This is a remedy that helps your white blood cells attack and helps speed up the scabbing process. I... made it?"
"You are," the man whispered. "No, you must this pace before the Demon Warlock gets you."
"Well you see," Aphmau began, rubbing the back of her neck. "That's an issue. We can't leave this place without knowledge of where to fly, exactly."
"The impulse waves," the man replied. "You were hit by them, weren't you?" Aphmau nodded before responding,
"Unfortunately, yes. And we're stuck... here." The man started shaking his head.
"No. No, this isn't good," he mumbled. "Then that means the Demon Warlock already knows of your presence. He brought you down on purpose." Aphmau cocked her head to the side.
"What?"
"The people of this area believe those impulses are events that happen on random, but it's not," he began. "They believe they are safe in the village thanks to the lies Asmund has told them. I understand he just wants to protect his people but... he is a pure fool."
"You see," he continued. "They welcome those touched by the impulses. They give travelers touched by them proper warning and tell them to seek out the Demon Warlock. Why? Because they've never seen a traveler come back from seeing the Demon Warlock. They truly believe that the Demon Warlock helps travelers for that reason."
"They aren't trying to set you up or anything," the man shook his head. "They're just ignorant and only care about themselves."
"What happens if you meet this... this Demon Warlock?" Aphmau questioned.
"He'll add you knowledge to his own" the man replied. "No on gets touched by the impulses unless he wants them to be. Since you healed me, I can only imagine he wants you... or rather your knowledge."
"What?" Aphmau shook her head, perplexed. "Then what do we do to leave this place. If going to him is dangerous... I don't understand."
"Well there is another way, but it's a little... embarrassing." the man blushed and looked away, biting his lower lip. Aphmau felt a wave of uncomfort wash over her.
"It can't be that embaressing. Tell me!" Aphmau exclaimed. The man sighed,
"You have to kiss me." Aphmau stumbled back and crinkled her nose.
"What! Wait! What!" she declared.
"No. I'm serious," the man stated firmly. Aphmau took deep breaths.
"Okay," she breathed. "How is that a solution? That sounds like a bunch of bologna!"
"I have a genetic map implanted in my DNA. It can help navigate you back," he sighed.
"Okay, wait." Aphmau stuck her hand out for space to process it. "No. No. I refuse to believe that. If that is the case, how many people have you kissed to get off this place?"
"None really," he stated as he leaned forward. "Once it's transferred through a DNA exchange, by kissing, I lose this ability. However, you healed me from a wound that I've been suffering with for two weeks now. I feel like I owe you for this, seriously, had I not been able to heal from that wound, I might have died. Please, allow me to do this for you." Aphmau grabbed her head and tried to comprehend the situation.
"Okay," she breathed. "Wait, what? No wait." She tried to understand if this was truly plausible, after all the weird things she'd seen, was it really impossible?
"Okay, okay. Is it just ONE kiss?" she asked nervously. The man rubbed his neck and replied,
"Not really, we... um... need to passionately make out." Aphmau's heart dropped.
"It takes a while for the genetic transfer to fully transfer to you," the man touched his lower lip. "At least, that's what the scientist told me. It is possible we might have to do more..." Aphmau violently shook her head.
"Wait wait wait wait! No!" she responded. "I'm only..." Aphmau thought of a proper response.
"If I do this, I'm just going to kiss you. Nothing more!" she exclaimed.
"Fine then," the man stated. His face began to blush. "Come here..." He began to walk forward.
Wait! Wait!" Aphmau called out, sticking her arms in front of her. "Before that... What is your name?" The man smile and replied,
"My name is Travis. It's nice to meet you." Aphmau chuckled in nervousness.
"O-Okay," she stuttered. She puckered her lips and started for Travis's. He too began to lean towards her, but before they could touch, Laurence raced towards Travis. He struck him towards the ground and held him at gun point. Travis stared at him in fear.
"Hold it right there lover boy!" Laurence shouted.
"Gah! What the?" Travis cried out.
"I heard the whole thing," Laurence stated. "You really think that's going to fly by me?"
"Who are you?" Travis retorted.
"I'm about to be your worst nightmare if you don't tell me who you really are!" Laurence's face was red with anger. Travis finally understood the situation and smirked.
"Heh," he chuckled. "I see, so you must really care about this girl then, huh? Jealous much?"
"Tell me now or I'll-" Travis quickly interrupted, saying,
"I am who I told her I was. I did not lie about that or any information I gave her. I'm not THAT much of a jerk. However, I did lie about the making out part." Aphmau and Laurence glared at him. He raised his arms defensively.
"Look," he continued. "It's been years since I've seen a beautiful woman around my age. The rest of the village are either too young or too old for me to romantically pursue."
"Stay away from MY girl!" Laurence shot back. Aphmau irritably looked at him.
"Laurence!" she shouted. Laurence looked back at her with an apologetic smile.
"Oops," he replied. "Sorry." Travis smirked.
"You aren't her boyfriend it seems," he purred. "So she's single then." He chuckled, slowly getting up. He wiped the snow off his clothes and continued,
"Fine, we can skip the making out part. In all seriousness, you guys are in trouble. Come with me to my hide out and we'll talk more there."
"How can I trust you?" Laurence retorted. Travis shrugged.
"It's either me or the Demon Warlock," he responded coolly.
"We'll take our chances," Aphmau responded. "Laurence let him go. We have no choice." Laurence put his gun back into his holster and groaned,
"Fine... But I'm watching you... Travis."
