I like the the fact that the genders are in the opposite position that you'd expect them to be.
But that's an inefficient use of paper, he should just throw the same paper plane over and over.

I'm such a massive fan of these two characters together and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful picture to look at of them. The characters themselves are so cute, special mention to Ship and his little rice ball . There's so much detail in this picture - with the lovely grass, the folded paper planes, the beautiful glistening reflective water and the lines of the trees - but the eyes are still drawn to the middle where Ben and Julie are just lounging around because of the way the surrounding objects are positioned. Beautifully constructed piece. The way the trees frame them in and lead to where they seat, makes it so that the expanse of background doesn't take over. I love how atmospheric it looks because of those wispy clouds of a pleasant day.
This picture is so absolutely perfect, I can't believe I haven't actually stumbled across your art a whole lot earlier. Wonderful job!
