It's just, that your gallery looks messy after some time, when you're constantly changing your artstyle. I once read it in an art tutorial, how to get more watchers.

I disagree. Most if not all of the super popular artists I've seen around dA maintain several art styles. The gallery messyness can be solved by having a folder for each style. If you just want a lot of watchers, you can't go wrong with consistently doing 3 things: Post very often, very detailed and make sure your themes keep mainstream appeal.
