I'm just getting started using RPG Maker VX Ace, and honestly these are the most straight forward tiling tutorials I have seen. I tried the tutorials from the website, but for some reason they always cut off like half-way through, so this is a breath of fresh air - short and to the point. Thank you.

I do the same thing, or learning it, I love this presentation, showed me much more to learn, and gave me much more insight. probably best/most relevant thing iv'e seen for myself on deviant.
The first thing i did when getting VX ace and Gimp was try make some fish: thebigtricky.deviantart.com/ar⦠, I'm sure you can spot the "steals" from the default iconset.

People don't believe its that easy to get quite nice ressources that easy but its quite fun to do..

It's really clever how you use several tiles to make a new one, just by taking their texture, shape or simply a small component. I'm going to try and come up with new things to make, by using this tutorial. Thanks ^_^
