Okay so i submitted this to two contests. The first was without the poem and was on just the original sketchbook paper. That went to graphis arts counsil. They sent it back lol. apparently they didn't like it. And then i sent it to the PTA reflections contest with the poem on it. They too didn't think much of it. lol oh well. I did work with it a bit on photoshop. I originally had to put two halves of the image together because the schools scanner is smaller than the sketchbook page. then i edited out a few smudges and got rid of the lines oh the heart that made it obvious that i scanned it in twice. I left the background the way it was, however, because i think it gives it that bleed feel (where something is going over the given page) Oh and one comment on the little poem which i did write, the last line could be taken wrong. When it says "this little girl" it does not, in anyway mean like some little girl's heart is there bleeding on the page and that is what i drew. It means instead that the heart is actually mine, my broken heart, and that little girl is me.... I hope that makes sense and i hope you all enjoy my sketch.

Thanks! i added the poem on as an after-thought. I had to do it to fill the requirements fer what i was entering the piece into. Thanks so much tho, im glad you liked it!
