solace is a service/therapy dog pup, which means he's an aid to people who are struggling emotionally and sometimes physically. he primarily works at a local elementary school, but is occasionally called on missions if someone is really struggling. when he is called, he doesn't really get involved in actual missions; he's moreso just there on the side ready to provide support to anyone who needs it. his main service task is deep pressure therapy, but he can also perform many other tasks such as providing food and water if needed, providing general comfort during times of stress, assisting with navigation in public spaces, interrupting potentially self harmful behaviours/stimming, assistance with meltdowns/panic attacks, and alerting other people to health issues !! he specialises in working with people/dogs who are neurodivergent or have anxiety, but he can provide overall general comfort to anyone who needs it.
