Commission for Thank you for your patience! It look many struggles to draw him but I finally did itClose up: www.facebook.com/pinlinart/pho…
I had many concepts on mind and that caused an artblock. Originally, I wanted to focus on the background but then the focus on his detailed design would be lost.
Because I put more detail in the character, I keep the background simple. It's sort of abstract with some ship elements.
The captain is supposed to have a fancy concept, even though the style I choosed does match, I'm not completely satisfied. I got used to drawing messy, a clean
style feels odd now lol. Compared to previous done artworks, I tried to use more saturared colors for change.

Actually I thought he wouldn't stand out because of merging too much with the background. It appears the opposite LOL.
It's only recent that I started to use more vivid and brighter/saturated colors, but haven't drawn a lot yet.

You understood my feelings for art
I don't know how else to define it. I don't want people to think that I get lazy when drawing freely lol.
Surprisingly, I didn't kill my hands with this. I worked on it a bit by bit every day, not that I have a
choice with piles of homework waiting for me.
It did test my patience omg. It barely happens that I change canvas composition and redraw whole backgrounds.
