From 18 May, 1961 to 2 December, 1974, the Southern Cratean country of Jeuna was ruled by a technocratic dictatorship, ending with the infamous November Riots and the instalment of a 'temporary' military council as the ruling body in December, which in one form or another continued to rule the country until 1998, when Fan Banou's nonviolent (and very wealthy) revolution restored democracy to Jeuna.
