Excuse me, but y'know your terms and conditions for the use of your Models
> steamcommunity.com/workshop/fi…
ive got a Question about these conditions
if these Models are for SFM and Gmod only, and the rules forbid the use of your models outside SFM and Gmod
Does this mean that even if someone asked for your permission to Port the models to say Blender or Cinema4D for example
their request would be immediately denied?

There are some cases where I'll allow it on certain conditions. But the usual answer is indeed no. The main reason for this is that I don't want to one day find one of my models being sold as a 3d print figure on some webshop.

Wait what? does this actually happen?

It's a popular game; it definitely happens.
The other day I found cut-out images of Pybun's Sans and Papyrus being sold as stickers on Redbubble. Don't worry. I let her know.

jeez louise, Why would they do that?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Pipann In reply to AndyPurro [2017-01-07 22:27:13 +0000 UTC]
Money, of course.
So yeah, there's my reasoning for wanting to keep them restricted so much. I know it sounds unfair to those who don't have access to gmod or sfm and really want to work with them, but thankfully most of them understand why I do it. Although, there have been a small number so far that have ripped my models without a second thought and shared them online, So I had to deal with them accordingly.
Again there are exceptional cases where I'll allow it, but only on certain terms that you must always abide by. So you can still ask, no problem. It doesn't annoy me. In fact I really appreciate it when people ask before they do anything I might not agree with.
Hope that answers your question.

OOH and you forgot the MOST IMPORTANT RULE of them all
Models must not be used for Rule34/18+ purposes, with no exceptions

Pipann In reply to AndyPurro [2017-01-08 08:33:37 +0000 UTC]
Haha
Seeing as I really dislike R34 I'd love to add that rule in. But we both know that's gonna be ignored. So instead I just added in: "I will not be held responsible for content created using my models that is graphic, lewd or offensive in any way."
'Tis the best alternative.

I adore the model! She looks really nice! ^^
Although I see the mesh at the inner elbow is intersecting. You going to use blend shapes to smooth that out for the rig?

Pipann In reply to ennalight [2016-09-16 06:05:39 +0000 UTC]
Thank you!
Yeah, I know it is. :') I don't know yet how to create blendshapes, but I'm sure it'll help when I do. For now, I tried using a different technique (if it can be called that) by changing up the mesh.

It does have a limit and starts clipping after bending too far, but that's the best I have for now.

I use Autodesk Maya myself and when rigging I easily get rid of clipping using corrective blendshapes. That is indeed a way to do it, more like a step before blendshapes xD
They do the same thing but they remember the data when moving the character into position.
What works, works ~ 8D

I will certainly be looking into these blendshapes. I just hope they won't cause me too much trouble with the conversion to SFM. The first few models I ever converted were a migraine's worth. Only just starting to get the hang of it finally. :') Either way I'm sure they'll prove useful in many other situations.

Dunno yet what next. Maybe a few multi-functional, non-UT items.
And I've been wanting to do a realistic rabbit model. With multiple skins.

YEAH! Awesome!!
So, now we have awesome SFM-models for Toriel, Papyrus, Sans and Alphys. Now we just need good models for Asgore, Undyne and Mettaton.

Pipann In reply to wholetthemonstersout [2016-08-17 11:25:59 +0000 UTC]
Asgore and Undyne are being made by other people. MTT has a good model, both normal and Ex. I haven't seen NEO yet though.
One I haven't seen yet is Monster Kid

Dunkle-S In reply to Pipann [2016-08-21 09:57:08 +0000 UTC]
well the problem is that yes we are getting a super accurate undyne as well as an asriel dremurr but that one mettaton ex model kinda bugs me.....
i mean sure its pretty good and all but i just really dont like how it looks so.... not mettaton
I mean we have gotten alot of regular mettatons but there still is no good mettaton ex model
the same could be said with papyrus (sorta) and the human
I mean the current sfm paps is pretty good cause of his flexabilty and overall greatness but still, he still doesnt really yell out papyrus to me and the human? all we get is frisks and charas with no face posing and the one that does have face posing kinda looks bad
idk what im saying, im just rambling at this point but still the way you draw the skelebros and the human iz pretty good

Robots and Humanoids aren't my strong suit. However, I do feel like Papyrus will be a lot of fun to model, so he's out there on the list.
The new Undyne and Asriel look awesome, but that naked Asriel model bothers me. Just brings more temptation to the hornier fans. :I

Monster Kid would be cool to see.

Simina-Cindy In reply to Pipann [2016-08-17 12:30:38 +0000 UTC]
Are you planning on giving her any sort of accessories? Like an anime tape or something? xD
Oh, and speaking of which. I noticed that Sans comes with some ketchup bottles and stuff in the SFM version, but not in the Gmod version. Are you or your friend gonna update that by any chance?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Pipann In reply to Simina-Cindy [2016-08-17 14:08:45 +0000 UTC]
She's got a dress bodygroup and I have some ideas to try and be able to separate her glasses. But I have to look further into how to do that.
The ketchup Sans has in SFM is a separate workshop item like described. You'll have to find a ketchup bottle model elsewhere, or maybe ask the creator of the condiments if they can port it to Gmod. :')

Ahh, I thought you made the ketchup bottle (I didn't go on the workshop page, just saw the thumbnail )
Anyways, good job, once again.

I don't know if you're familiar with Sam and Max, but you should check out their 3D models (they are available for Gmod as well) and they have this kind of "button eyes" thing going on, and they pose interestingly. Maybe it will help somehow. ^^

How were you doing it before?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Pipann In reply to Simina-Cindy [2016-08-17 21:12:56 +0000 UTC]
Not. xD
They were just round little buttons sitting there completely immobile. I wanted to add two halves of spheres around them and make those act as eyelids (much like how Spore does it with Cell stage eyeballs, if that says anything to you), but when morphing them, they don't rotate, but instead deform strangely. That's the best way I can explain it without getting overly detailed about it.

Simina-Cindy In reply to Pipann [2016-08-17 21:55:58 +0000 UTC]
Sounds like it can get pretty frustrating. I think the way you're doing it now is nicer anyways than the Spore way. It's more cartoony and cute.

Pipann In reply to Simina-Cindy [2016-08-17 22:10:42 +0000 UTC]
Vertices, when morphed, just move in a straight line from their original position to the new one. So if you try to make something rotate using morphs, you get the glitching Globox effect where his midsection keeps collapsing in on itself. youtu.be/CN86nvmO3cw?t=108
