Broken Heart Tutorial: [link]Well, this is my first tutorial. And by gosh, I never realized just how much work went into these. I'll definitely appreciate the tutorials I see a whole lot more.
I hope that someone, somewhere can learn from this! Please let me know if you make anything with this tutorial, I'd love to see it.
Should I make another tutorial? What do you guys think? What should I do a tutorial of next then?

LOL Awesome. Yours probably aren't as "creaky" as mine. I had too many hand injuries as a kid.

I'm so glad I could help~ I also like warming the clay up by putting a towel down on my chair, then the clay is laid out on the chair (preferably new packages of them otherwise in ziplock bags or something), And then I just sit on them and prep my tools and stuff. It's sometimes lumpy, but (heh, butt) it makes it so much easier to work with right off the bat.

That's a seriously brilliant idea. Most of my time spent using polymer clay is softening it in my hands - these tips will speed it up so much!

I wonder if making a tutorial on how to make tutorials would be oddly....redundant.... Okay, that's it, I have to try it.

Thank you for the compliment. And the fave.
The great thing is, is that it uses the cookie cutter method, so circle and heart and easily be replaced with square and star!
Once I figured out this method, I always keep my eyes peeled for cookie cutters at craft stores and even bakery supply stores.

Nice little tut-great pics-it took me a second to figure out the difference in the start squeezing pics tho. and as someone who doesnt have a pasta machine I appreciate the whacking trick!

Yeah, I realized that my hand looks practically the same in the two pictures, I'll look into making them slightly more different.
I like including the little tips I learn. I went for a year or two without a pasta machine, and I find that beating the clay senseless with my roller or a hammer really helps so that it doesn't hurt my hands as much. It also keeps the clay cleaner since it's almost impossible to get rid of every little piece of lint from my finger prints. And the rich, vibrant blacks, reds and blues tint your skin, which is also hard to get out. Same with the "Effects" clays like the glitters.

maybe just an arrow pointing to it or an explanation to go along to not hold the clay tight in your hand or whatever would work fine.

I edited the file and added a little note above the pictures, How's it now? Is it a little easier to understand?

It's perfect that you mentioned that! I'm actually planning to do some wire wrapping next week. I'll try to get a full tutorial done for those and even a wire working tips tutorial or journal.
Thank you for the input! It means a ton!
