So, this idea happened. Yes, Marie can in fact be turned into a Shadow Pokemon herself, but it isn't very easy due to her natural resistance to corruption. The only one who could bypass her resistance would be Shadalk, given he is the Legendary of the Shadow Type itself.

Of course, this encounter would never happen for various reasons, but the concept was interesting and so I had to do something with it.~

Marie looked up at the towering avian before her in disbelief and what little fear she was capable of feeling. No one had seen the Legendary of Shadows for centuries, yet here she was, before him, at his mercy.

"You are quite an interesting individual, Marie." he said, "Such power...yet a Pokemon at such weak a stage..."

Marie glared at him, "I don't need to be fully-evolved to be strong, Shadalk."

The Legendary ignored her comment and continued, "Something about you is highly desired by Falcon; I assume it's the unnatural powers you possess but, what do I know? I've been trapped in this prison for centuries, after all."

"Why am I here?"

"Because a Pokemon as powerful as you...could be such a useful pawn..."

At his words Marie felt an unknown, almost psychic, force bring her up to eye level with him. "That's impossible." she said emotionlessly in reply, "I was designed to be able to resist corruption."

The Shadow Legendary just chuckled, his pupil-less eyes glowing brighter, "Foolish girl, you seem to be forgetting who I am..."

Before she could respond Marie felt agony pulse through her, a pain unlike that she'd ever felt before; like her soul was on fire...

It was then that the realization hit her.

In sheer horror she saw corruption slowly snaking its way up her body, the colors...of a Shadow Pokemon...

"No! NO!" She cried as she tried to free herself from the force consuming her, writhes of pain becoming ones of panic.

Shadalk only laughed in sadistic glee at her helplessness.

Marie couldn't breathe, everything hurt; was this what Risk and Wave had to endure when they were undergoing corruption?

One-by-one the images of her friends and family shattered, leaving Marie in the darkness of her subconscious alone for only a few moments before her mind slipped from her control.

A pair of red eyes opened, meeting those of their new master.

Shadalk grinned and spoke, "Now, you are perfect..."
