Long story short, I decided to rework Sonic Underground. I'm probably going to come out with something more story-wise later on once I figure it out a bit more.

It's still in the works but I wanted to figure out what the characters would look like in my style. Manic's hair/quills aren't as parted (it's kind of a pain to draw in general) and Sonia's back quills are more patterned than a single solid color that's different from the rest of her body. I also made her arms tanned to match her brothers.
