I have been interested into this couple lately, ever since I first drew them a month ago.I got the idea to do this, when I saw [link] . I never knew the manga special for Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire is that intense, until now. So, I felt sympathetic for poor Ruby, and decided to draw him being treated by Sapphire with bandages.
Their clothing are different from the first time I drew them. I placed them in their Pokemon Manga Special attire instead of their usual attire in the games. I tried to draw sweat, but I couldn't make it look liquid-like, and ended up shading a bit of blue on it.
I hope to post more deviants soon for February.
Author's note: The band-aid on Ruby's nose reminds me of Hikaru from Saru Get Chu.

lol Coincidence? ...Riiight. By saying that it's a coincidence, it seems you're denying that you referenced it, yet there are so many ways I can prove you did. I mean come on, I recognized what it was referenced from the moment I saw the deviation.
Really, it's not a big deal if you did reference the picture, but calling it just a "coincidence" is a big deal (because you'd be lying).
