What a beauty!
I wish the cars of today had THIS much character! Sadly, most of them look the same!

Spooky. Not a car I would take a ride from. I think I'd just as soon walk.

Do you Americans know the Morris Mini? well this here is its antecessor: put the little 4-cyl- in line motor at a 90Β° instead of parallel to the car's length, and you spare some .5m of length. It was a revolution!
This one was built into the 70s: sturdy, very comfy (some sort of hydropneumatic suspension), a motor that would never fail you. In fact, much better, more economical etc than the VW beetle, its concurrent

Never seen one. I don't own a car...public transportation is so much more entertaining and I get to relax going to and from work.

me neither. But here in my lil German town, public transportation is expensive and very unpractical: I go everywhere on a bicycle. Ev'ry mornin', winter or summer, 7.5km (some 5 miles) through city&forest, 20 minutes. By tram+commuting bus some 55minutes.
British cars are cool, and this one especially. Leather upholstery, eg. On a cheap beetle-concurrent, do reckon!

Where I live is a small town outside of the state capitol. The Kanawha River is three blocks from my place. The public transportation here is very good except on Sunday and after midnight. I've been riding the bus so long most of the drivers and a good portion of the passenger all know me...by sight, if not by name. It's a homey feel, getting on the bus and having people know me. I do stand out a little, I guess. Beaten down old black Stetson and a jacket with an Indian...Native American...like off an old cigar wrapper on the back. I'm either Tex or Jake...depending on the driver.
Shaved today...sure sign of an early spring. My beard gets whiter every winter. Getting old was never part of my plans. Not that I mind. I still have the same 'body image' of myself in my head, so if I avoid mirrors nothing much has changed since I was in my thirties. I never thought I was good looking, anyway, so losing my 'looks' is not a factor. People say I look like my father. I guess that's as it should be...better than looking like the milkman!
