Drew this while binging my way through the samurai jack episodes I had left to get through so I could be ready for the evening today >:,DThis wound up jus being an excuse to mess around with a heAP of weird textured brushes I have and man was it fun to use. His entire body's also just really awesome swoopy curves and that's my jam when it comes to how I draw nowadays :,D

I am so hyped for the new season starting tonight
this show is one of my top 5 greatest animated shows and now that it's finally coming back I'm just AHHHHHΒ
Aku was one of the first villains that made me truly fall in love with evil characters his dark charisma, wit and amazing reactions ( not to mention voice R.I.P. Mako)Β
I could gush for hours about this show and it's amazing art
I hope I get to see the Scottsmen one more timeΒ

This is absolutely smashing. The way his face just curls with wickedness is utter win.
He's such an awesome villain. He's simultaneously the evilest and funniest villain ever. Something very hard to achieve perfect balance between.

And thanks! ;v; It's actually the same brush I used to ink him in the whole piece! I liked the sharper edges that the brush had versus just a plain round one for blocking stuff in~

im even planning to see what I can cook up for it. Was thinking of Aku as well, like man aside the usual like his voice, one thing about him I love is just that aside the fool he acts he can be pretty terrifying, especially those silent moments where he just has that blank expression and that ominous music in the bg just gahhhhghhhh

He definitely has a disgustingly imposing and sinister presence to him, even in moments when he's being a complete troll. He's the perfect type of villain that you can love to hate in the best way >: )

I'd neVER seen the show either until I binged through most of it last summer, and then remember to try n' finish it off this year. I'm sorta glad I never saw it until now either cause I have sO much admiration and appreciation for the art and design work than I would've probably as a kid. It's all very visually driven as well compared to dialogue driven which is super enjoyable to take in :,0
