My all-time favourite pmd team, here have Esther the Vulpix (hero) and Raku the Pikachu (partner). Yeah, not the prettiest goodbye, but I've had worse artworks :3

When this happened to me and I realized what was going on, I stopped playing the game... I didn´t advance the story or the conversations anymore because I didn´t want to leave. After five minuits I began to play again but I did so very slowly in hope that I could stay just a little longer, That someone would come out of nowhere and tell me that I didn´t have to leave... But then it was time... The yellow sparkles engulfed the character which I had been identifying with myself for quite a while and there were nothing that I could do... Seeing how my partner had his heart broken because his best friend had to leave him, and in their greatest moment too... It made me tear up again... I cried. I cried for several minutes. Seeing how my friend was tormented hurt me more than anything I had experienced untill that day. and then a voice in the game spoke. It was my voice but still not mine. "I don´t want to leave" it said. "I want to stay". "A small, but still hopeless wish." I thought, because the game is over... And the credits was showing up on the screen. I cried because the game knew what I wanted, It said it out loud. It was like it understood what I had lost and acknowledged my grief.
To this day, this was to me, the most touching moment in any game I have played, And it´s almost 9 years ago. This was the moment that I realized that games are more that entertainment and a way to make the time pass. Games can carry hope, dreams, even friendship as long as you accept it. Games can tell you a story. It´s up to you to listen...

i didn't quite have such an experience because from somewhere i already knew the end before reaching it in-game, but playing this months ago again for the first time after years made literally run chills down my spine. heck, however they did it, they did it right D:

I guess I also saw it comming. Heck, the game even told me so.
But that was the thing. Even when you have the evidence of the approaching doom shoved in your face, you can´t really do anything about it, and that´s why you never stop to think about it... It just appears out of nowhere and slaps you in the feels when you least expects it...
Now if you excuse me, I have a long lost series to get in touch with again.
