Description
This went from a fur exercise just for practice to a completed wolf drawing with a background to some sort of fantasy K-9 thing. I'm happy with how it turned out though. Let me know what you think!(P.S., sorry for re-uploading this on you guys so many times. Thought those of you that liked it might like to see the finished result)

Thank You, I thought it would be a nice added touch to throw in a splash of something different.

The fur is astounding! Especially right there behind the ears, in the crease. Very well done!

It looks like a northern sub-species of a gray wolf, so it is realistic. The fur is extremely detailed and the lighting helps to recognize it pretty well. The expression is pretty neutral, though the muzlle and ears are both well done. Although, as some others have already pointed out, the ears are actually smaller, than they would be in real life ( I guess around 50 to 80% larger).

The ears definitely need to be bigger. Thanks! To be honest, I just started drawing and hoped it turned out looking like a wolf, or at least some sort of dog. XD I had no particular species in mind.

Thank You, I've been experimenting a lot with fur lately. I'm glad it turned out, and that you like it. I know the ears are bit small though.

I find the key is working past the point where you think that you've screwed up and want to stop. More often then not a picture is more salvageable than we realize. Then when it's done, it's easier to accurately pin point what it is you need to improve on. Sometimes it's not even the reason you felt you felt you were doing poorly in the first place.

I understand what you mean. I have found that as I have gotten older I have also gotten more fearful with my artwork.. I messed up on a picture of a dragon as a kid and i just used the mess up to totally add onto the picture and it turned out great.
But now I stop and start and stop and start and I go through paper like crazy when I mess up. I hate not being as fearless as I was.
I watch my sister draw now and she is like I was and her art is great for her age (she is if you want to look) but it's because she doesn't care if she messes up or if people nitpick her artwork. She takes suggestions so well too. For me it's been really hard. I have a lot of people tell me I should go into art but I don't think I could do it as a career.

you have to have a real passion to do it as more than than a hobby. Otherwise, it's an enjoyable way to pass the time.

The fur looks amazing but I think the ears are a bit on the small side.
Otherwise it's gorgeous! Nice work.

Yeah, I keep feeling like there's something else wrong with it though. Something about the snout seems off. I can't put my finger on it though.

I think it may be because it slopes downward? Idk though, I'm still learning wolf anatomy my self.
