Okay... well, it isn't my computer desktop... that would be boring... but the desktop at which I create my art.
Yes, very cluttered... and yes, its in the way back corner of the basement behind a wall. Just the way I like it. That string hanging down(lightbulbcord
) and that bare light bulb are the only light I have besides the window... I think I need to go to the ikea and get some lighting... 
Oh and the quote, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of thier dreams" I painted that on there while standing on a stool. My mom didn't like that much considering that my dad had just broken his leg... O_o

You know my room used to look just like that until I spilled black india ink all over my brand new white carpet. I tried to cover it up... and I did for a really long time with dirty laundry until one day my mom came and cleaned away the clothes. Yikes. I had to move all of my art supplies to the storage room (they gave me a nice tiny corner next to the furnace -- yea!) and now all of it is set up down their table... chair... ect. And my parents favorite part is the cement floor. I am always warm though. In my room all of my art, random ticket stubs, magazine cutouts, and much more randomness covered the walls until I repainted them a month ago... and I have been forbidden to put anything on them. (not to happy)... and about the carpet... I had to buy all new carpet, and they wouldn't let me buy the cheap stuff noooo.... I had to buy what they had $400! I had a heart attack I swear. But you are lucky your parents didnt go ape-shit about painting on the walls.

Its really cold down there... but I put up with the cold for the sake of peace and quiet

XD lucky girl...my parents let me paint my room myself. and it turned out to be darker than they wanted it but they couldn't do anything about it

Lucky you too! My parents would not trust me with the paint at all. They were all like, "No, you might get it on the carpet" or "No, it might look uneven" but I know the real reason is that they didn't want me inscripting messages on the wall or making pretty designs... lol.
