I think I've finally done it; I've managed to make a piece that I'm actually pleased with myself.This got its start from some rather unpleasant feelings, and I think it sort of shows.

Update:
Made the moon less uniformly oval, so it should be much clearer now that I intended it to be the Moon in one of its less represented phases. Thanks to a few people from PixelJoint for pointing that out.

WHY IS YOUR DITHERING SO PERFECT AHH
The lighting is incredible on this, and I'm digging the details on the moon, and I like how it's not in full as well (I've heard of it as a gibbous moon? I'm probably wrong oop) Love how the clouds look like they're sort of dissipating a bit, I think that's the right word. Love it <3

Magic, I'd say. I have no idea how it's so good (it's honestly not that great) Really glad to hear the lighting is working, spent quite a few minutes on that.(And yeah, it's a gibbous moon though there are two different phases; waning and waxing, but that's going into pedantics imo

Thanks! The lighting is something I spent most of my time on with this piece, actually. I also did some experimentation with picking the colours for it that really paid off, it seems.
