Wicked, I didn't know he did SW stuff either - awesome. Your coloring is really nice here, maybe a little more sharper shadows wud add a bit, but I sure aint saying this isn't gud. Great work

yeah i do have a hard time incorporating hard edged shadows, it's one of the few things i'll be working on this year to master. Along with developing my sketching style which i've kind of put off for a long time. I hope to have a full blown comic by the end of the year to submit to IMAGE comics.

well i've been working at this for about a year now and only now am i just getting to the point of pro coloring with minimal time wasted. I don't bother with too many layers anymore, it's all about one layer and laying down blocks of colors, then using the lasso and brush tool.

i dont even know what the lasso too is for actually !?
i use one extra layer for the colouring and den click around the corners to have a selection. then i use the gradient tool to colour.
sometimes a 2nd layer might come in handy when i want to put some highlits on the picture like in the hair.
a complete different approach

well that's kind of how i did it in the beginning, but then i found out comics are completely colored with the lasso tool and the paint brush, along with the smear and blur tools. base colors are done with a hard edged brush on one layer, then you use the lasso tool to select your dark areas, as well as your light areas, then you hit it with a soft edged brush and Bam, your done pretty much i try to keep my layers to a 3 or 4 maximum.
