Ok well i've been playing around with photoshop and this is what i've come up with over the last few days-the gradient tool and the blending options are a great way to turn a simple picture of space into great looking pieces of art.Picture from google [link]

It looks pretty cool.
However, a slight critique: The gradient makes this look very unrealistic. I would recommend checking out some of NASA's astronomy pictures to get a better idea of how the colors blend together in actual nebulae. If you weren't going for realistic, then you did pretty well in that regard.

i was more going for design on this one, but thats for the honest opinion and i know what you mean, in real life they would for clouds of colours and not just a simple gradient

Wonderful mix of colors here. Nice textures as well. The balance is good, and nothing in the entire mix draws the eye off of the page. Well done.
