Description
This is the result of a speed challenge. The rules were: Nothing can be used but single-stamp brushes, no undo allowed and a 30 minute time-limit. You would be amazed at what you can create in 30 minutes using only pre-made brushes. I get totally stressed at how careful you have to be when there is no undo allowed. I learn quite a lot in a short amount of time when I can't "CTRL-Z" whenever I want to. Mistakes do happen but you just find a way to work those in to the final piece.I think this image turned out pretty interesting. I have no idea the meaning behind it, maybe it was created out of the subconscious.

wow I LOVE this. I wish i could do things like this. I actually really like the birds, i think it balances out the composition really well.

Thank for the kind words.
As for creating something like this... sure you can. Just download a bunch of brushes off deviantART and then give yourself 30 minutes to simply place single brush stamps onto the canvas as your brain sees fit and don't use undo. You will be amazed at what you can create, trust me!

Interesting result, and I like the B&W look. I've been doing 5 minute pencil sketches lately, but I haven't tried any digital speed work. I've seen some others doing speed renders, but never anything like this. Now I'm inspired to give this a shot!
I really like the bottom right corner. That would be a cool crop, I think.

I agree, the bottom right hand corner turned out the best. The upper left hand corner is kind of "blah" but I ran out of time so I can live with it. The B&W look was a choice made due to time... I thought I could spend more time on composition than trying to figure out a good color scheme.

Probably good thinking. The upper left is nice and spacious, and the birds are a perfect idea for that area, but I guess in a speed piece leaving breathing room seems like cheating.
