Alright, alright, alright! Time to get back to making those references!! AND I remembered how to make gifs in Photoshop! I'll have to go back to the other OC refs I've done and update them later.

Ichika is one of my favorite BNHA OCs but I rarely get to write for her since the time we see Shiketsu is far and few between. That's okay tho- all that time spent away from the focus of canon is free real estate for the stories I write for her.

Distinguishing Features: Ichika is almost always followed by at least one or two spirit butterflies.

PERSONALITY

Personality(+) Patient, even-tempered, protective, calm, tactical thinker, looks before she leaps, keeps a level head under pressure, already displays a keen understanding of her Quirk, it's limits, and how to utilize it. To those that manage to befriend Ichika, there's a firm but gentle nature to her demeanor. She is patient and understanding with those she likes (the exception to that being her unique relationship with Inasa) and even displays a sense of deadpan humor every so often. Though she speaks in monotone, there's no denying when she's being encouraging towards loved ones, particularly in the case of her sister Erity and her friend Haiya.

Personality(-) Quiet, closed off, reserved, keeps her thoughts and observations private, holds on to grudges, comes off as having a cold personality and does nothing to dissuade that reputation, content to work by herself/on her own, VERY adverse to accepting help from others, blunt/sharp tongued way of speaking. Ichika has a very strong reputation at Shiketsu of having an icy personality, but she does little to change that reputation. It takes a monumental amount of effort to get Ichika to talk about anything, most people find it off putting and outright avoid conversation with her- if that doesn't do it, Ichika's outspoken words will.

HISTORY
ABOUT: Ichika was born to Yukari Hakurei and a man Yukari believed to be her true love- until she told him she was pregnant and he quickly cut all ties with her. After giving birth to Ichika, Yukari tried once more to become romantically involved with another man, only to become pregnant and abandoned a second time. This left Yukari in a very depressed state, which forced Ichika to mature very quickly in order to take care of herself and her younger half-sister Erity. While this has made Ichika utterly resentful of her mother, she refuses to let any of her mother's negligence carry over to Erity and will do anything in her ability to provide her half-sister with a better life. When Ichika's Quirk began to develop, so did her resolve- to become a hero and have the monetary security that would allow her and Erity to live in a safe environment of their own, away from their mother and her mistakes.

QUIRK DESCRIPTION:
Quirk name: Spirit Butterflies
The user is able to create spirit butterflies to spy on enemies and convey messages to allies. She can separate and disperse parts of her own body into a swarm of spirit butterflies and she can also create butterfly wing-like constructs.

- Ichika doesn't like how girly her given name sounds (苺花 strawberry flower) and prefers to be called Ika (いか squid).

- The exceptions to this are Erity and Inasa, and even then, Inasa only calls her Ichika when she's in danger.

- Ichika's hero costume uses a similar hair-lining technique to Mirio's, allowing her clothing to become spirit butterflies along with her body.

- It's possible that, in time and experience, Ichika will be able to disperse her entire body into spirit butterflies- but as things are right now, that kind of ability is too technical and advanced for her.

- She enjoys writing haikus to the point where she writes one every day in a special notebook- the only time Ichika missed a day when she was hospitalized after a Nomu attack, in which Inasa wrote one in her stead.

- Ichika and Inasa hide their relationship "in plain sight" because it's so easy for their peers to misunderstand Ichika's interest in him when her usual response to Inasa's overenthusiasm is flat, cold indifference while they are on school grounds.
