Description
My fathers saddle. This is airbrushed with ink and dye on bristal board. I used virtually no masking, and chose to freehand almost the entire painting. I painted back and forth with ink and bleach to give each layer its own life. This way I could have textures, shadows and dirt and do them one at a time.Related content

Hello!
This piece has been suggested for the August Underappreciated Art Contest. Details can be found in my current journal.
Drop by the contest if you get a chance, either to suggest someone else's piece or to vote! Don't worry if you miss it; I run one every month.

I love the whole series, the textures, a reach out and touch it kind of thing, very luscious, with perfect lighting and tone. But this one is my favorite. I usually fav and then browse through those that I have fav'd and pick one to be the 'desktop image d'jour'...but these available sizes are too small. Rats. Beautiful stuff! Oh, and good luck with the work you have obtained. I'm sure with your set of immaculate skills that you will do swimmingly well!!!! (If you can find any water in Montana. Do they have water in Montana?)

Thank you, the series is all my father's and grandfather's saddles. I may put some larger versions out there, I never considered desktops.
Montana does have water, in the form of snow.
