they have a spinal system.. but it's pretty fragile. i once held a rattle snake, darn thing was as friendly as can be. but two things that yoshi and that rattle snake i held are completely different, aΒ REAL rattlesnake will not harm you even if in said territory if you show them you mean no harm..
