The Maud as Spock comparison is appropriate. But remember kids there are actually two important differences between Maud and Mr. Spock: 1) Maud emotes far more often the Spock does and 2) when Spock emotes you can actually tell.

Honestly, yes. The person that drew this piece makes a very comfortable living off drawing ponies and is quite well known all over the world. I myself, am also a little well known for my art but I work in construction as my main job pulling a low Six figure income. I have kids and a horse ranch and am fairly well off. MLP just teaches me to be a kinder more accepting person and also, the stories make me happy. So I have to ask you, why are you so bitter towards something that doesnβt harm you in anyway and, judging by what you have on your DA, would actually help you and make you a better kinder person. I mean, humming birds are just colorful rainbow birds right? Maybe give ponies a chance.

Hey, I'm sorry, I was scrolling down and came across this thread and thought I would contribute in defense of my friend PixelKitties.
She is right you know.Β If you came here a week ago, have already been able to contribute rather fine art as I can see, but are unable to put up with this kind of artwork being on the front page, you either are clearly unprepared to be on here or you're extraordinarily close-minded.Β MLP art has been in full swing ever since late 2010 when the show first came out and the fandom formed.Β People from all corners of the internet have been making MLP art and uploading it to DA and tons of it has been featured on the front page because it's been able to gain enough traction to do so.Β That is how things work on this site.Β If you don't like that it happened to be MLP art because you're an "anti-brony" or something, you'll just have to deal with it.Β The show is popular and a lot of people on here like it.Β You thinking it's "sad" that it got on here is just your point of view, but telling us that in the comments of the picture will not change it.
Oh and because I know you're going to probably say something about it, yes, my icon is sooooo inappropriate and will probably gross you out.Β That's why I use it.Β
