As usual, I'm working on a comic for the Season premier based on minimal information. I have a decent track record for coming up with vaguely skewed versions of the actual episode content.
So, here's a thing that's shown up in the episode trailers and it figures into the comic in some way.
I really, REALLY hope I successfully tagged this because I know fans take their spoilers seriously- and I'm no fan of being stabbed.
By the by, DeviantArt really needs a spoiler option. I thought about just hiding this behind a mature content filter, but I'm guessing a majority of people have that unhidden anyway. End result I still end up stabbed. So instead it's this workaround helpfully provided by *Rutana

Has anyone else noticed that the way the elements are aranged on the tree around Twilight's cutie mark resembles her complete cutie mark with the smaller five stars around the big one? And since the box came from where the Element of Magic is, it only gave it to her when it thought they where ready for whatever's inside. And where did that fourth cutie mark below Luna's come from< I didn't see it in the episode.

That's not a fourth Cutie Mark, it's Simba from Lion King, or the painting of him that foretold his fate as King that is. And yes, allot of Bronies have caught on that the mane 6 are gods incarnate (aka they are the physical manifestations of the deities of Harmony, and this tree is the idol for which they resemble whenever they use the elements.) Twilight herself is Harmony incarnate, she's the living, breathing, god of Harmony, and the rest of the mane 5 are her guardians I guess. There's allot of speculation out there, but everything I've said so far is basically the conclusion that I've come to. FYI I'm not religious, but I do respect mythologies and mythical gods like the Greeks have, and MLP is no exception.

I feel your pain. As a fanfic writer, Season Four has thrown me for a loop. The Tree of Harmony almost seems like transplanted Tree of Jurai. I'm trying to write a story about her, but I bet it will be out of canon before the last letter is published.

You know, we are still clueless as to exact origins of the Elements and Tree of Harmony - namely, WHO planted/made the tree and the Elements, put in in the Everfree Forest to lock down its influence, with access only granted to individuals who mastered the celestial orbits of the Sun and Moon?

Harmonic Spike: This is the Tree of Harmony, its made out of crystals.....My life force. *radios* Twilight, Ali, Spyro, I haven't been able to raise you on the watch since I entered this cave. The Tree of Harmony is down here and I need all Element bearers here. And yes, that means you too, Ali. Somehow when I morphed into Harmonic Spike, I suddenly became more powerful near this tree. Whatever this is it might help us stop....whatever it is causing these vines to emerge. My guess is Malefor or someone close to him.

I'm not sure why you're suddenly jettisoning the spoiler tags, but you might want to reconsider. Just because a lot of people saw the episode this morning doesn't mean everybody did. Heck, it hasn't even dropped on iTunes yet. Maybe give it a few days?

Simple- the cartoon has aired. While not everyone has seen it, MOST everyone has seen it and is talking about it all over social networks, on forums, imageboards, and everywhere ponies are a topic of conversation. All my life- from movie trailers to "Next week on such-and-such show" we have been inundated with teasers and previews. This concept and irrational fear of everything being a spoiler has gotten way out of control. People want their experience policed constantly, lest they know a tree shows up or Twilight Sparkle still has wings and sucks at flying. Rather than avoiding, say Equestria Daily or Derpibooru until they have a chance to see the episode, too many folks want the exciting and fun world of cartoon horses to hide and wait for them to catch up.
And let's be clear, I'm not talking about major plot elements like the fact Bruce Willis was a ghost through the entire movie. But considering I made this comic with no more info than someone would have watching The Hub's commercial breaks regularly, I don't feel obligated to censor my work beyond the airtime.
Quite frankly, people don't like or trust spoiler tags. For many folks, an NSFW tag or big SPOILER placeholder image is an instant turn-off. They don't know what lurks on the other side and its a risky click. I don't like using them because people don't know what they're going to see and may not give my comic a chance. I like reaching a wide audience and having a reputation for SFW content. Putting up red flags all over based on information that is disseminated, in popular discussion, and not all that spoilery to begin with is just plain silly to me.

Wow. That's a pretty strong reaction to simply suggesting that you wait a day or two for the benefit of the people who do not have the Hub and are waiting for the only other legal avenues to make the show available. Anyway, no skin off my nose. You're the one who was worried about getting stabbed. :-P
Oh and thanks for that ghost thing. Now every movie I see with Bruce Willis, I'm going to be wondering if he's dead...

That's an excellent spoiler warning! Font reminds me of something I can't put my hoof on, and works much better than having the people next to me at the coffee house give weird looks as I fly through NSFW tags claiming I know what I'm doing.
