Description
dedicated this work to my son Sebastian. it is a symbolized image of the way me and my wife are trying to explain the world and life to him. as far as possible i will take him by the hands and be there to give advice and help through the walk of his life and all the things there will be. good and bad.hide and seek
There was a time when there was nothing at all
Nothing at all, just a distant hum
There was a being and he lived on his own
He had no one to talk to, and nothing to do
He drew up the plans, learnt to work with his hands
A million years passed by and his work was done
And his words were these...
Hope you find it in everything, everything that you see
Hope you find it in everything, everything that you see
Hope you find it, hope you find it
Hope you find me in you
(Howard Jones)

I've looked at alot of *pixellabor s deviations. They're always of high quality, both technically very good and with some sort of vision. This one caught my attention as it is a bit different from what he normally do.
The vast open landscape and tall signposts (at least that's what I've interpreted them as) remind me of childhood. Everything seemed so huge and far away. Luckily you had some sort of guardian, be it your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brother or sister. Someone who guided you on these immensely great distances that ultimately make you the person you are today.
*pixellabor s technique in this piece is as usual good and it's hard to actually see that it's a photomanipulation. The work with the long shadows and consistent lighting is impressive.

the mobile in the foreground symbolizes birth and the stones as building blocks for the tall towers symbolizing future accomplishments in the background. the towers could also symbolize what you and your child will leave as marks on earth. you and your child walking a vague path with many sign posts, each with two choices, the right path/wrong path. the dark clouds in the back for the imminent death that all mortal men must face. bright skies as you go through life hand in hand

that thing hanging from the top ruined it for me I somehow wish it was less surreal.
Just man and a child in a open land filled with direction signs; perhaps leading to some strange buildings on the horizon = great concept.

Kleine Anmerkung: MΓΌsste beim rechten Turm hinten das Licht nicht eigentlich von rechts kommen?

Great idea! I can almost see the moment you will turn back and look at this. And I wish you the best for that moment and all it's instances.
