Hello again, everybody! I just thought that I'd tried something different again! This time, a Super Mario Maker 2 sprite sheet of our favorite bounty hunter, Samus Aran! 

So what we have here is a LARGE sprite sheet of what Samus would be like if she was in SMM2! Every knows that a few months ago, Nintendo had released a new 2.0.0 update called the "Master Update", in which they added not only added new course parts, but added a new item to the game, the Master Sword, in which Mario transforms into Link! I though that idea was awesome, and I always though what it would be like if Nintendo added other Nintendo characters, and the first character that I thought in mind, was Samus Aran, from Metroid, since she seemed PERFECT for SMM! But then, an idea striked. I went and created this whole sprite sheet of what it would be like if she was actually in the game, coupled with some new sprites edited by yours truly! Unlike Link, Samus has unique sprites of her facing left, due to her arm cannon being on her left arm! There is also some other sprites there, like her Charge Shot ability, just like in Super Metroid on the SNES!

In fact, I even though of her whole moveset here;

X/Y: Shoot beam (it takes like 3 shots to KO a Goomba)
Hold X/Y: Charge Beam (Release X/Y to fire) (It can KO Goombas in one hit, and can pierce through enemies and blocks)
ZL/ZR: Fire Missile (Can destroy blocks, and it becomes a homing missile in the Ground Night theme)
L/R: Aim Diagonally Up/Down (Just like in Super Metroid)
A/B while running: Screw Attack
Press down on Analog Stick: Toggle between Ice Beam (It doesn't deal damage, but will just simply freeze them in place. Shoot them again to unfreeze)
Crouch: hoot while crouching (useful for hitting short enemies)
Crouch again: Morph Ball (You can also jump while in Morph Ball form, just like in Super Metroid)
X/Y while in Morph Ball: Pull out bomb (allow you to do a short bounce from the explosion, and can destroy blocks)

The Samus powerup is the Screw Attack ability that she used in the first Metroid game.

Samus can jump 2 blocks higher that Mario can, but she will feel a lot floatier in the air.

Ground, Desert, Forest, Jungle, Sky: Brinstar Theme
Underground, Ghost House: Kraid's Hideout Theme
Underwater: Norfair Theme
Airship, Castle: Ridley's Lair Theme
Mini-Boss: Tourian Theme
Final Boss: Mother Brain Theme
Bonus: Serect Room Theme
Horror: Escape Theme

This is just my vision on what it look look like if Nintendo went and added Samus on the next update (V.3.0.0, Metroid Update)

UPDATE: Changed The Color palette for all Samus costumes, to match Super Mario Maker 2's brighter colors, rather than the NES's darker colors.

I think Kirby would also be great for SMM2 as well!

God, I wish this was actually in the game. Now that I think about it, it'd be great if they added in Pit from Kid Icarus into SMM2.

Try Doing MEGAMAN into SMM2! That will be So Cool!

Mario: Fire Storm MEGAMAN (MMPU)
Luigi: Slash Claw MEGAMAN (MM7)
Toad/Single Player: Normal MEGAMAN
Toadette: Plant Barrier MEGAMAN (MM6)

Moveset:

X/Y: Mega Buster (it takes like 3 shots to KO a Goomba)
Hold X/Y: Charge Shot (Release X/Y to fire) (It can KO Goombas, Koopas, Spinies and Buzzy Beetles in one hit)

Single Player would be Sonic. In multiplayer, Mario would be Knuckles, Luigi would be Tails, Toad would be Sonic and Toadette would be Amy.

Brilliant! Although I think the alternate colors should be the multiplayer colors from Prime 2.

cdn.discordapp.com/attachments… Yeah and these are the colors of the Samus, sorry for the crappy quality no one uploaded the icons so a video was all I could do. But I still think you should keep the Pink Samus to reference the classic Varia Suit from the NES game, white seems to out of place for Toadette to have. Mario having regular Samus is fine at least. But the Green looks like the Smash color and Light Blue seems based on the Fusion Suit. Just suggesting
