Description
I thought I'd have my hand at customising a figure. This little fella is a Jurassic Park Velociraptor toy. I have three, and these used to be my favourite toys, dubbed "digging dinosaurs". When I found him, he was looking a bit battered, due to all the "digging" he did in the garden. So why not spice him up a little? Hot stuff!Recipe:
-1 Velociraptor model
-4 Coloured enamel paints- Brown, orange, yellow and red
-Too much free time
-Paintbrushes
-White spirit
1.Wash the dinosaur, making sure that all the seaweed and sand and mud has been washed out after many years of play down the beach/garden.
2. Put it in the airing cupboard to dry. Deny all knowledge of putting it there to parents.
3. Get all your gear set out, make sure newspaper is down, and paint it all red. Wait for 6 hours before doing another coat. Then wait some more.
4. Start adding details on body, making sure tail is dry enough to hold. Make sure each colour dries before adding another layer.
5. Paint the tail and make a mess everywhere. Leave to dry. Including paint in the sink, which will piss your mother off.
6. Set up pot plants and fossil collection in back room and take photos! Yaaay!

I know xD I just got one literally ten minutes ago. Thinking of painting it up like the original paintjob planned for the TLW version of the toy. Looks way cooler than the paint job they went with

[link] well, I think it looks better than the released paintjob xD probably because it's closer to how the raptors looked in both the first book and in the second film

Haha, really? That's great. They were so fun to play with, you can see his teeth are worn down at the front; I didn't re-paint them.
I'm glad you like him, currently he's been put away due to a room-tidy-up, but he'll be back on my side again at some point!

White spirit is this hydrocarbon based cleaning thing used to clean the brushes!
