I really do enjoy your works loving the wings there.
I have been interested in 3D for a while but over time have been losing enthusiasm for the idea since it seems as if there are endless amounts of things needed to learn in Maya for example and it all seems so unacheivable XD but people do it so it's obviously possible haha. Did you feel at points when you started out that you didn't understand or remember a lot of what you were doing? That probably doesn't make much sense- I've attended a few taster days and things where they take you on a marathon fast journey doing what seems like something simple such as adding textures, but I couldn't keep up at all and didn't understand any of the options in the menus I was told to select haha. Kinda put me off rather than make me want to go on their courses
But basically what I'm asking is, do you think it's worth the long journey till creating a model is relatively stress-free? Hahaha
Sorry for the long message, and thank you for your time~

one last thing
|| it seems as if there are endless amounts of things needed to learn in Maya for example and it all seems so unacheivable XD

~ Don't ever say this. Sure, there is SO friggin much to learn, but you don't need to learn everything right away, right?
I like to think that i am only currently 21, and i have numerous 3D modellers that i look up to, but i take in to account how old they are and how long they have been working for. some are 30+.
I don't let things like this bother me because as long as you strive to improve, then you will be able to look back as see how far you've come, how much you've learned.
This kind of stuff doesn't happen over night.  When i first started, i was spending at least 10 hours a day for a month! Learning take time.
Simple formula:
More time spent learning = More things learned.

Everything you say makes a lot of sense, and I appreciate the time you've taken to type that all out to help me
I know I definitely don't have 10 hours per day XD so my learning process is likely to be slower than yourself, but I get what your saying. I just hope I pick starting projects that don't require anything mega complicated to complete XD stick to the basics for now, and the free softwares
Only thing left to tackle now is my laptop, it disagrees with seemingly the smallest amount of polygons haha

Yes indeed!
I'll get a new one... One day...
Our desktop PC is 10 or more years old you see, so no chance of using that

||Did you feel at points when you started out that you didn't understand or remember a lot of what you were doing?
~I remember when i followed my first tutorial (this one www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLGaHt… it took me 3 hours to finish even though the video is only 20 minutes. But after about a week or two i was able to make the model in less than 5 minutes ( i plan to make a something epic in Janauary next year as i always do a yearly remake)

|| do you think it's worth the long journey till creating a model is relatively stress-free?
~ haha, let me tell you straight up right now, it will NEVER EVER be stress free, from the day i began, till the day i die, it is never stress free.
It is only worth it if you are passionate about it. if you really really really want to become a great modeller, then you won't let anything stop you. Right?

Feel free to ask anything at any time. i love to help if i can and i'm practically always checking deviantart every hour lol (unless i sleep

Aw darn, unfortunately I can't view that video :/ it says there was an error whilst loading, and to tap to try again, and if I do it automatically just says the same thing again. Sounds like you made quite significant improvement there though! Was it tedious doing the same project again? (Looking forward to seeing it!!)

Okay haha, but to a certain extent I expected you might say that- that's why I said 'relatively' stress-free Good point though! Same for everything though right? If you wok hard enough to get somewhere you will and nothing great is ever easy...to obtain... Or whatever that phrase is cause I can't remember XD ignore me. I mean at the moment many people have been telling me I won't make it in Agriculture but I've kept going anyway, if I want it enough I'll get there right?
I've always been torn between animals and art sorry for getting sidetracked there.

Thank you so much :3 you're a great person <3 (if a little addicted to dA by the sounds of things- I'm joking lol haha I don't mean offense, but in any case, so am I XD just don't always have time to reply).
