The first glance at this shot and I thought it was out in the country somewhere. The wall looked more like a field to me the way that it fades away towards the top. I'm wondering, however, why it does fade away. There are other sections of the way that seem to be in focus, like the section above the hood and the one behind the rear bumper.
I added this one to my favorites because I'm also a big fan of this style of photography. I think that taking a picture of something as minimalistic as a wall, a car, and some sky takes a good deal of skill for it to come out as involving and attractive as this piece. Great job!
P.S. I love the colors, everything seems so dusty, warm and abandoned.

yeah - I blurred the top of the wall and darkend it a little - basically to remove distracting highlights and soften the horizontal cut of the wall - the immediate forground is also blurred to dampen unwanted texture.

Don't be sad. I think this is why: there's a sort of special consumer nostalgia for old things, especially old European things (think the Godfather part II?), and so that sort of sepia and green picture of an old Euro car where it's the only thing in the picture and the cropping is clever, maybe slick... you get commercial photography. And also, that doesn't mean it's bad. I never comment on stuff I don't like, it's generally not worth the effort.

thanks - appreciate the constructive feedback - i have a love for minimal compositions - which as you say, can sometimes lend itself to commercial photography.
anyway, in this photo - i really loved the wall - the car got in the way
