Her heart pounded against her chest, in sync with the rhythm of her bare feet against the virgin snow, and eyes focused on the path ahead of her. She turned briefly, distracted by a flash of white, to find that he was several steps behind. Still as a statue with paws dug deep into the snow, his eyes were fixed at her with an incomprehensible gaze. She knelt cautiously in front of the white beast and gazed into his familiar eyes. Her lips parted slightly as she let out a sigh. She knew she won’t have to run alone today…'
