Description I drew this portrait of st Bernadette in france after seeing her body fully intact inside a glass coffin.
Used a photo of her as reference.

I can now see the picture is riddled with lots of mistakes in it.

St. Bernadette's body is incorrupt, meaning that it has miraculously remained intact without mummification or other artificial preservation. It is truly a miracle of God. Click here if you want to learn more: [link]

Holy smokes, this is awesome!! I can't do realism to save my soul.

*soul flies away* Noo!

All nonsense aside, that's fascinating about her body, mostly intact. Hmm. Did you take a picture then draw this? Or just from memory? Either or any way, this is amazing, so I give this a fav.

what do you mean "intact" like there was no hint of rot, or like mummified?

Intact as in no hint of rot mostly. The parts that had started to rot were restored with a bit of wax, like the fingers.

What happened was that when her body was dug up most of her was intact, and now they say that was a miracle or something for that to happen.
