I also think it was a good descision to go for a gold fish in this case. The colouring of the animal fits with your usual work. Also a goldfish looks more interesting than a herring for example, which might lead more people to the overfishing cause yoou try to proclaim.
It is very good to see artists being interested in worldproblems. It is even better to see them try to fight for the things that go through their heart through their art. I know it is only sensible to do as a real artist, but there can never be enough good art proclaiming people to think about what they eat. A good image speaks to more people than empty words.

THe idea what you are trying to tell comes across very clearly and you managed to excecute the medium of the watercolour to perfection. Well done!
And now the technique. You managed to be a pro in watercolour which is very good visible in this piece. Also your own style in the form of the splatters and the eye is still visible which is a good thing.

A nice difference from many of this artist's prior eye pictures. This is the first one that I have seen where the scene being viewed by the eye is readily reflected int he iris with a figure from that scene crossing the ground of the picture.
The main aspect that kept me from being able to rate this with any 5-stars was the goldfish. While the eye is wonderfully rendered and full of beautiful believable details, the goldfish is almost comical in its anatomical inaccuracies, despite the nicely applied water-color style shading. While the picture as a whole still has great effect, the contrast of the two main elements causes a tension that instead of invoking reaction becomes a distraction.
This piece still has a great deal of impact, despite that variance, and is a worthy representation of the verity of work that this artist is able to produce.
