Description
My first attempt to draw horse with Chinese ink.It was fun to try something new and I never knew that when ink diluted with water, can be graded into many different shades. (I only learn how to write Chinese character while I was at school.)
I tried the ink on different type of paper and each paper created different feeling. On this piece, I tried it on rice paper. As you can see, I'm still a newbie to the ink technique.

You have a hanko at the bottom of your painting. How did you get yours? Where is some information on Hanko's and how did I get my name translated?

This painting I love, I always come across it. I am trying to think of ideas for a tattoo, so for fun I drew this on me. It looks pretty good!
I love how much motion you captured.

Ok thats just simply amazing, especially since you say you are new at this. Did you use Bamboo Hake brushes it said you used rice paper in your comment. If I may, may I give you a few tips on how to use them and with painting the trad. ink art?

Hi there, sorry for my late reply. I don't come by this page so often as I used to be. So you probably didn't hear my respond a.s.a.p. I apologize for this unintended rudeness. Besides, I started my new job last month so I'm kinda busy except sometimes at the weekend I can take out little time to browse around and do stuff that I like. As you probably know, it's summer here and I couldn't resist the sunshine.
TEll me how's your logo going on....

Hen hao a. Did you use one of those traditional brush where you hold them all funny and weird as well? I wanna try those one day.

yeah I used chinese brush. They're so many different type of brushes for painting and writing. I still can't figure out which for which. And I still can't really hold it well and paint smoothly.

They say it's "all in the wrist for the motion", but I got that from watching so much chinese series that has history in them so don't quote me on that.
