Taste In Men - Placebo

Fans will recognise this still from the taste in men video. Placebo had two places (at leats) in the VH2 Indie 500, and I was looking at the T.I.M video and remembered how fucking gorgeous Brian is in it. So I searched for stills from the video, got my pastels out and starting playing. Originally it was supposed to be an abstracty type piece with lots of colors and stuff, (which is why the skin is a bit orange) and then I changed my mind. Ok fair enough it's not a copy so much as an interpretation of the original picture, but...whatever really. I never claimed to be a degree level artist, it's something I do for fun and why-the-fuck-do-I-feel-the-need-to-defen d-myself-every-freaking-day-when-no-ones -attacking-me?!
I did cheat and clone the background a bit, because it was slightly speckly (why the fuck where my oil pastels making life hard for me?! usually blanket color is something the excel at!) and it took away from the picture, but other than that, no digital editing at all (aside from crop, theres a border on the original picture that didnt look so great scanned in, so I reeemoved it.)
Blaaah...um...shading in oil pastel is harder than I thought it would be. and that weird pink color of his lips was succchhh a bitch to get right. I need more oil pastels. I have literally no white pastel left. Cos I'm retarded and keep using it to do eyes/white shirts/random shading/totally unnecessary things.

ANYWAY I'ma shut up now.
