Description
"technical" details:
1 x advertisement Gucci perfume
1 x lamp
1 x pane of glass
5 x various pencils (2B, 4B, 8B, Aquamonolith Cobalt & Red)
I just put the pane of glass straight onto the round shade of the lamp, put the reference on top of it, and when i switched it on, all i could see was the one circle of image. then I did a vague outline of the piece and then I did the full piece over the rough outline. easy as.

Nice! It might be good to add some more variety into the texture- I mean like how that dark line around the hair part gives that particular area such interest. You might consider bringing more of that technique into the face area?
Just a thought! It's pretty nice- were the colors originally like that or did you alter it? I always like messing around with the colors of things. lol.

wow. i've admired your artwork so much it seems so weird for you to be commenting on mine....
The san was really bad (yeh, blame the scanner.), but in the original piece the whole thing looks alot smoother. I wanted to make a sort of contrast between the hair and her eyes and lips. I might however work on the face a bit more, add some sense of bone structure or something. I want to make this piece better, I like it enough to work on it.
I think in the original she might have had blue make up, not entirely sure. I just got a bit bored and thought "if in doubt, start playing with it!" which, looking at it now, was probably not the right thing to do. The eye I dont mind but the lips bother me horribly.
Thanks so much for the comment, it really does mean alot to me to get a comment from an artist who I admire so much

thanks darling
It was really easy to draw actually, although because the lamp was pressed right onto the glass it did get all over heated and burn me
