The thing is, with how it is now, it's facing roughly 90 degrees away from the direction of pivot, which is physically impossible. If it were facing straight forward as the other foot is, that would solve the issue.

Well, if so, there's clearly wrong with how I depicted it, as the foot angle is one that most people could reproduce.

I'd have to see photographic evidence of people who are able to sit comfortably in this exact position, otherwise it's just going to continue to look unnatural.
